Alonzo Stovall will discuss his novel TheLegal Hitters at noon May 14 at the University of Memphis. The talk will be held in the Ned R. McWherter Library, Room 226. The event is free and open to the public.
The Legal Hitters follows a veteran police lieutenant and his team as they investigate a series of murders in a quiet community just south of Dallas.
Stovall, whose pen name is G.W.Jacobs, was born in Chicago and has spent his career advocating for children.
He worked at a social service agency in Illinois, where he placed children with families. After moving to Dallas, Stovall was in charge of program development and analysis for a youth advocacy group. He continues his work on behalf of youth in Memphis.
